UNIACKE ESTATE MUSEUM PARK

Hours of operation: June 3rd - October 3rd June 3rd to October 3rd Wednesday - Sunday 10am - 4pm CLOSED MONDAY AND TUESDAY

Gate opens daily 8:30am - closed by dusk Trails and grounds open year round.

Tearoom opens at 10:00am and closes daily at 3:30pm (except Saturday when it closes at 3:15pm)

The tearoom serves light refreshments and sells a variety of books related to Nova Scotia History.

Reminder that our NS Walk group meets every Tuesday at 9:00am at Uniacke Estate Museum Park for a free gentle and friendly walk. New attendees are more than welcome!

As we move into the month ofJuly you may see a lot of activity around the site. Every week day in June we welcomed schools from across Nova Scotia who had booked in for our popular "Trip to the Past Program" morning in June that are always alive with activity as the students get to learn about life in the 1800s and how the Uniacke family spent their days here at the Estate.

As usual, Uniacke Estate Museum offered free admission on July 1 in celebration of Canada Day!

On July 4 at 7:00pm Uniacke Estate will be hosting a special presentation by Author Steve Skafle. While enjoying refreshments, listen as author Steve Skafle tells tales from his latest book, the harrowing and heartfelt "Outskirts of Orinary". It's a collection of stories from locals who overcame the odds to become themselves, evenly mixed with memories from his childhhod.

Unniacke Estate is excited to inform you that we will once again be having our Artisan's Market(s) Rolling it out two times this season - the first Sunday, August 16th 10:00am to 2:00pm and the second on Sunday, September 20th 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Local artisans are invited to participate and sell their items. Vendors can register by calling 902-366-0032

or emailing: brooke.barker@novascotia.ca or visiting the museum

On Saturday, September 13th - 1:30pm to 4:00pm - you are invited to join Sarah Emsley, for a reading from the debut novel "The Austen's" and learn about Jane Austen's novel "The Austen's" and learn about Jane Austen's exciting connections with Nova Scotia. As space is limited pre-registration is required. Phone ()2-866-0032. Admission by donation or bring a non-perishable food item for the community pantry.

BEHIND THE ROPES: Friday, July 10th 6:00pm to 8:00pm OR Saturday, August 8th - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Have you ever wondered what's in the attic or wanted a peek inside the drawers in the bedrooms? Come explore behind the ropes, an evening program where staff will guide you into areas of the museum that are usually off limits. Pre-registration required. Phone 902-866-0032. Ates 12+ $20 per person.

Sunday, August 16th 10:00am - 2:00pm Sunday, September 20th 10:00am -2:00pm

Shop locally on the beautiful grounds of Uniacke Estate Museum Park. Local artisans are invited to participate and sell their items. Vendors can register by calling 902-866-0032, emailing brooke.barker@novascotia.ca or visiting the museum for more information.

Shopping at the market is free. Regular admission applies to the museum.
