BRUNCH: Our regular monthly Brunch will start on October 3rd from 9:00am -11:00am

SPORTS:

Sunday, September 13: 9-Ball @ 1:00pm (open to anyone 19 and over – not a league)

FUN POOL (9-BALL) is every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. (Except for the 1st Wednesday of the month).

MEAT DARTS is every Friday evening at 7:30pm. Register by 7:15pm.

MEAT POOL is every Saturday evening at 7:30pm. Register by 7:15pm.

LEAGUES SPORTS

We are gearing up for our Legion Sports Leagues to restart!

Sunday, September 13: Mixed Darts @ 6:00pm

Monday, September14: Men’s Pool @ 7:00pm

Tuesday, September 15: Mixed Pool @ 7:00pm

Anyone interested in playing in one of our leagues is asked to show up to register on the first date of play (listed above). Regular league play will commence the next week.

BINGO continues every Thursday with the Bonanza and Early Bird games starting at 6:30pm. Doors open at 5:30pm. All regular games start at 7:15pm. Must be 10 years of age and over to play and accompanied by an adult. Anyone wishing to volunteer to work can call Joan Hayden at 902-866-0704.

MEMBERSHIP

Anyone wishing to become a member or transfer from another Legion can contact the Legion at 902-866-4022. Membership dues for 2026 will be collected starting September 1st (see below) and all renewals before November 30th will be eligible for the Early Bird Draw.

JAM SESSION

Jam sessions are the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The next one will be September 10th in the Memorabilia Lounge.

POPPY INFORMATION

In late September / early October it will be that time again to start selling wreaths / crosses for our Remembrance Day Service. The material used on these is biodegradable so more environmentally friendly, however, we wanted to post early so you are aware of the prices. As per the last few years, people may still make a monetary donation to the Poppy Trust Fund if they prefer.

NATIONAL LEGION WEEK

(Sunday, September 20 to Saturday, September 26)

The 4th Annual Legion Week is taking place from September 20– September 26 and we have a few activities for the community to take part in.

Sunday, September 20 – Pancake Breakfast from 9:00am to 11:00am. Free Will Offering. All monies to go to the purchase of a new hot water tank.

Wednesday, September 23rd – Social in the Memorabilia room. There will also be displays by our Membership and Poppy Committees. We invite the community of Mount Uniacke to come in for tea, coffee and sweets and to socialize. Event from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.

Saturday, September 26– Dinner & Dance

Dinner 6:00pm: Cold plate - ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw and a roll. Tea, Coffee, Juice.

$15 per plate, 12 and under $7

Dance 8:00pm with DJ Nikki. $10/ person person or $15/couple
