LOOKING FORWARD TO A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY IN KINGS-HANTS
This year has brought forward new challenges as we continue to adapt to the ever-changing political climate here at home and abroad. As the Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, I have had a front row seat to the work our government has / is doing.
The Prime Minister is committed to advancing policies that support affordability and maintain crucial social programs, while at the same time, making tough fiscal choices to reduce our operational spending - allowing more capital investment to drive economic growth. Canada has what the world needs, and we're focused on building major national projects that diversify our economy and reduce our dependency on the United States. The 2025 budget was recently passed and we're excited to get to work on our initiatives. Here are some highlights to share:
* Reducing taxes for 22 million Canadians. *Removing the GST on the purchase of homes for first-time home buyers
* Committing significant resources for infrastructure, including for community-based facilities
* Protecting crucial social programs for seniors, while expanding youth job opportunities
* Investing more in our proud members of the Canadian Armed Forces
* Supporting key initiatives for our crucial agricultural and forestry sectors.

As 2026 approaches, my commitment to you will always remain the same: be present in our communities and champion the needs of our farmers and small businesses. I will continue fighting for the initiatives and projects that matter to our communities and be a strong voice for the needs of rural communities in Kings-Hants, and across Canada, in Parliament.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of assistance.
Hon. Kody Blois, MP Kings-Hants
