Received following email from family of Clifford McLellan:

"Date: Wed, Aug 29, 2018 at 8:31 PMSubject: Re: My sister & I visited the library next to the school in Mount Uniacke this afternoon looking to find information on a Clifford McLellan, he married our great aunt Eva Esther Amirault from Lower East Pubnico, N.S. Eva was born September 11-1884 and died August12-1950. All we know about Mr. McLellan is that he was born in Mount Uniacke. The girls at the library gave us the Uniacke Newsletter and said maybe you would know more about McLellan family as they did not recognize this family name. We will be back in Halifax next week and planning to check with Nova Scotia Archives to see if we can find any information there. Thanking you for any info you can give us. Cassie"

Following information received from East Hants Historical Society, with great appreciation.

"Re: Clifford Milton McLellan

Clifford Milton McLellan was born in Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia on January 16, 1881, the son of John Leslie McLellan and Elizabeth "Bessie" Caldwell. By the time of his first marriage he had made his way to Sydney, Nova Scotia where he was working as a locomotive fireman and married his 19-year-old bride Nettie B. MacLean on August 4, 1903. Nettie was the daughter of Chester and Jean MacLean.

Clifford and Nettie eventually divorced and Clifford, still working as a locomotive fireman, met and married his second wife Eva Esther Amiro of East Pubnico, Nova Scotia on June 9, 1915 in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Interestingly, Eva was recorded as a Roman Catholic but marrying a Presbyterian divorcee their marriage was performed by a Presbyterian minister.

Clifford died a resident of Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia on September 3, 1941 and was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, Nova Scotia.
