RANDOM QUARRY THOUGHTS

Most of the "old" quarries were in rural areas 'way back when and residential areas have been built up "on" and / or "around" previous mining and quarry areas in the many provinces we have in Canada however, it doesn't seem to phase the government and/or quarry owners that when they mine in these areas they are disturbing / ruining the environment that people have either built near, or on, and for which there is no compensation awarded to these people as the quarry companies - via the government and/or quarry owners that when they mine in these areas they are disturbing / ruining the environment that people have either built near, or on, and for which there is no compensation awarded to these prople as the quarry companies - via the governments - are destroying the lives and well-being of the residents who were given government approval to build in and around previous mining areas. The residents are NOT even being offered time to discuss the quarries in their backyards and/or being offered compensation for this massive intrusion into areas they purchased their lands on or near. This is an intrusion to the well-being of the residents in, on and near the chosen quarry location and definitely the responsibility of governments everywhere - especially sicne the government charged, is charging and probably will continue to charge, enormous tax rates on land that the purchasers believed would be their "home" forever but now with blasting, noise, rattling dishes, cracking foundations, ruined roads while the big trucks race up and down the unpaved access roads and all roads that these "quarry trucks" must travel to pick up / drop off to and from where they are loaded is destroying their lives. The present residents DO NOT get ANY compensation, respect, silence, safety, etc. from either the tovernment and/or the quarry company and the ill health from the dust and pollution that is created by these quarry excavations is not good for the health of the residents. Restrictions should be introduced to ALL potential AND present quarry sites for re-evaluation of the location of ANY quarry creations - whether rnewing old quarries or creating new quarries - listen to the residents near and far from these quarries AFTER securing information from people living within a quarry area and it should be something that the tovernment warns the residents close to the "chosen site" so the residents have the opportunity to share their concerns, worries, financial degradation of ANY and ALL residential villages / towns - especially in rural areas!

To put it into a simple question - which is more important - a human being's health or the government's quick decision to accept the quarry company's investment as they pay the government?
