Nobody likes to receive “junk mail” in their mailbox, but it’s definitely NOT acceptable to just throw it on the ground and leave it for someone else to pick up or for the wind to disperse it into the ditches. A lot of our “group boxes” are located quite close to individual residential locations and it’s definitely NOT the fault of the homeowners in our community that you are receiving junk mail. If you don’t want the junk mail that is so easily carried home with you to put into the proper receptacle, please contact the Post Office and advise them that you would rather NOT receive any junk mail / flyers and they will stop putting them into your mailbox. But, it would be a lot easier to just take it home with your regular mail and put it in your garbage bin. No cost to any resident to do this kindness.
