MOUNT UNIACKE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE

We are a group of people who are dedicated to making Mount Uniacke all it can be. We are now registered with the province and can get to work!

So far, we've been off to a great start! We have a board of members who are willing to lead the charge and have had one meeting so far that was very constructive. The board left with plans for progress. We've also been working through the process of becoming a registered non-profit, opening a bank account, reaching out to council and various people in the municipality for advice and information and gathering lots of information on fundraising requirements and grants!

A very early-on-poll on our Facebook group (as well as discussion on Mount Uniacke Community Update on Facebook) has shown us that the top priority of the community is getting a community centre up and running, closely followed by a splash pad. That's what we will be working towards going forward! Of course, we realize that everyone might not have seen the poll, or may not be on Facebook. Please feel free to contact us directly via any of the methods listed below and we will be sure to keep you informed as we go along. Together we can make Mount Uniacke truly shine!
