You MUST have your lights on when you drive on Nova Scotia roads. IT’S THE LAW! This LAW came into effect April 13, 2009 and it’s simply amazing the number of drivers who DO NOT drive with ANY lights on! Daytime running lights help oncoming drivers see you better in fog or rain or snow or if the sun is in their eyes! Lights ON have been shown to reduce crashes. Better to be safe than sorry – forget the daytime running lights and just Turn your headlights on as soon as you start the car up, then you won’t forget to drive at night with NO tail lights just because you turned your running lights on in daylight! Help keep our roads safe by making sure you have low-beam headlights on during daylight hours and keep everyone safe! Visit
